As you know yesterday the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) held a crucial meeting about the fate of the juvenile halls and the union president, Stacy Ford, was in attendance.
To be clear the union (Local 685) is doing NOTHING to assist light-duty officers being sent home to burn their own time if they have work restrictions.
Officers continue to be sent home who can perform their field duties but not the task of dealing with incarcerated juveniles.
Oddly, Mr. Ford now finds himself in the same position as the members he’s not fighting for.
Apparently, he suffered a cardio-related medical emergency sometime after the BSCC meeting, which could result in him being placed on light duty.
If so, he could find himself being sent home too, as he’s assigned to work in the camps.
See how that pendulum swings both ways?

Sounds like this article was written by a PO that is on light duty. Whoever wrote this is a POS. Talking like this of a person who had a health emergency. Shame on 2UrbanGirls form allowing this to be posted on their media platform.
Shame on the union for not fighting on behalf of its dues paying members.
