COMPTON – An assault with a deadly weapon suspect was taken into custody early Saturday morning in Compton, authorities said.
The standoff between the male suspect and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department began around 10:24 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of West Corregidor Street, according to the LASD.
No exact time was provided for when the man was arrested, but the LASD reported Saturday morning that the area had been rendered safe and nearby residents were permitted to return home.
