Dr [Ben] Drati was let go because he turned a blind eye on the abuse, neglect and abuse of power of his Director of Special Education.
When he was in Santa Monica he ignore abuse of students, Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District ending up paying a family $45 million dollars. Soon after she settled with Santa Monica he came to Bellflower. The lawsuit in Santa Monica had to do with abuse of students with severe disability, in that instance the bus driver reported the abuse and he ignored it.
Search that article and also look at the California audit in 2022 where it showed that BUSD misrepresentation of fund and neglect of students. All of this is still happening.
Precious Young, director of special education, who may have a close relationship with the Compton Superintendent, where she was allowed to be the worst.
She was even taken to court for elder abuse.
I have direct knowledge of the abuse that takes place in Bellflower.
Watch the board meetings open session and you will see a glimpse of what took place there – start with the December board meeting open session.
Dr Drati is no different then Kent Taylor who I also have direct knowledge of what he did in Lennox.
Unfortunately for the families in Compton, their superintendent still holds his position.
These people and these Districts need to be exposed. Families need to know about these Districts – Bellflower, Compton, Lennox and Santa Monica.
When you broke the news about Taylor you were absolutely on point and the same can be said about the Inglewood mayor.
P/s Santa Monica abuse of students continues. A substitute teacher reported abuse he witnessed at various sites and the district responded by blocking him and not allowing him to sub anymore.
There’s a deplorable trend happening in these places, and it just so happens that I’ve had the misfortune to work for two of these districts and have connections with the other two.
Again for Bellflower start with California audit which is accurate, and watch the board meeting open session 6pm to see a glimpse of what was the first step to air the crimes against children.
In terms of special education the District is out of compliance from pre-k to the adult transition center.
Assessments of students are fraudulent. Children at age 3 are not given proper assessments and misplaced.
Abuse has been reported about the severely handicap adult students and the District has done nothing to remedy.
There’s also a center where they house students that have been expelled that is also out of compliance. Everywhere you look you find something awful.
These places have successfully manipulated and lied to the communities they are suppose to serve.
You were right on Taylor, I was there I can attest to everything that took place there and continues.
Thank you for your advocacy.

She was on maternity leave for almost a whole year. When did this abuse happen that she is to blame for?
