LOS ANGELES – Police asked for public help Saturday to find the driver of a dark-colored SUV responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian near the border of Los Angeles and Culver City.
The motorist was driving east on Washington Place around 8:10 p.m. Friday and struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the street near East Boulevard in an unmarked crosswalk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“The dark-colored SUV continued driving eastbound on Washington Place, stopped momentarily, but then continued driving east on Washington Place without stopping to identify themselves or render aid as required by law,” according to police.
Culver City Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
