VAN NUYS – A 25-year-old man who was fatally shot in Van Nuys in what police are calling a gang-related shooting was identified Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Alfredo Delgado by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the 14000 block of Delano Street and Hazeltine Avenue at 2:12 a.m. Saturday regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. Upon their arrival, they found the victim in the driveway of the location with a gunshot wound to the head, according to an LAPD spokesman.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced Delgado dead.
There was no suspect description.
