LOS ANGELES – There was one ticket sold matching all six numbers in Monday’s Powerball drawing.
The winking ticket for the $842 million jackpot was sold in Michigan.
There were six other tickets sold with five numbers, but missing the Powerball.
Tickets sold in Florida and Texas are each worth $2 million, because the players utilized the Power Play option, where for an additional $1 per play, a ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, is worth $2 million.
The ones sold in Connecticut, Florida, and Maryland are each worth $1 million.
A winning ticket sold in California at a store in Baker is worth $1,230,788.
The numbers drawn in Monday evening’s Powerball lottery were 12, 21, 42, 44, 49 and the Powerball number is 1.
The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
