LENNOX – A man riding a bicycle who was killed after being struck by a vehicle in the unincorporated area of Lennox in what authorities said might have been a hit-and-run collision was identified Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 11:41 p.m. Wednesday to Hawthorne and Lennox boulevards where they found the victim, according to CHP Officer Sean Lough.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Cesar Hernandez, 51.
Hernandez was treated by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics and pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP closed all lanes of Hawthorne Boulevard while they investigated the scene.
