LONG BEACH (CNS) – A 22-year-old man died Wednesday, seven days after losing control of his vehicle on a Long Beach street and crashing.
The crash occurred near Studebaker Road and Loynes Drive on Dec. 20 at approximately 9:22 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department. Detectives discovered during their investigation that the man was traveling northbound on Studebaker Road before losing control of his vehicle and struck “multiple fixed objects” on the roadway, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the driver to a hospital, where he died Wednesday, police said.
Speed and weather conditions were being investigated as possible factors in the crash, police said.
The driver, whose name was not released, was from Gardena.
