LOS ANGELES – There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Wednesday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery, pushing the estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing to $620 million.
There were five tickets sold with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, including one each sold in Colorado, Kentucky and Virginia, which are each worth $2 million because the players utilized the Power Play option, where for an additional $1 per play, a ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, is worth $2 million.
Another ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, sold in Kentucky is worth $1 million, along with the one sold in Rhode Island, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game.
The numbers drawn Wednesday were 27, 35, 41, 56, 60 and the Powerball number was 16. The estimated jackpot was $576 million.
The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
