Thank you for sharing about Inglewood raising our trash rates for the second time this year.
Based on the video you shared and comments made by Mayor Butts, the special rates are a direct result of changing trash pickup times at the request of Councilman Eloy Morales.
I remember 2UrbanGirls and Daily Breeze writing articles that Morales was a paid consultant of a company owned by Consolidated/Republic Services, Pacific Coast Waste, but he stopped reporting the income once you guys wrote about it. It’s a clear violation of Government Code 1090.

He still is a member of the Lee Andrews Group team and doesn’t report his earnings from there either.
Did our rates go up because he is being paid by the trash company to make the requests under the guise of “helping” Inglewood residents?
