CARSON – A 47-year-old man who was killed while attempting to cross the Harbor (110) Freeway in the Carson area was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The crash was reported at about 11:21 p.m. Monday on the southbound freeway at Torrance Boulevard, according to CHP Officer Sean Lough.
He said a man was walking in one of the freeway’s middle lanes when he was struck by an unknown number of vehicles.
According to the county medical examiner, Paul Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP issued a SigAlert that closed four lanes of the southbound freeway for several hours while officers investigated the crash.
