LONG BEACH, Calif. – A woman was stabbed Sunday during an argument with a man in a Long Beach alley, authorities said.
Officers sent to Atlantic Avenue and Rhea Street at about 5:20 a.m. contacted the victim, who said the attack took place in an alley in the area of 20th Street and Pacific Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was in an alley when she had a physical altercation with a male adult suspect, which escalated when he stabbed her with a knife,” police said. “Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate a crime scene. Suspect information is under investigation.”
The woman said she ran away and called police. Paramedics took her to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
