LOS ANGELES – A fire in commercial buildings on Western Avenue in Exposition Park was put out in less than half an hour by the Los Angeles Fire Department at 3 a.m. Monday.
The fire was at two adjacent one-story buildings, including a church at 3717 S. Western Ave. The fire at the church was limited to the attic.

The building next to the church, at 3719 S. Western Ave., had flames showing through the roof when firefighters arrived and was where the fire originated.
No injuries were reported.
It took 97 LAFD firefighters 25 minutes to extinguish the fire at around 3:30 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
