LAKEWOOD, Calif. – The driver was killed and a passenger injured when a vehicle crashed into a tree in Lakewood Monday evening.
Deputies responded to the intersection of East Carson Street and Clubhouse Drive around 7:20 p.m. Monday, according to the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station.
The driver was pronounced dead upon deputies’ arrival, and the passenger was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
It’s unclear what may have caused the crash and investigators are conducting an investigation.
