LANCASTER, Calif. – A male motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car in Lancaster Wednesday.
The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Avenue K around 3:30 p.m. when a woman driving a Mazda sedan eastbound on Avenue K made a northbound turn onto 15th Street East, colliding with the motorcycle and ejecting the rider, according to Lancaster Sheriff’s Station PIO Detective Ament Ryan.
Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene, Ryan said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It has not been determined if speed or impaired driving played a factor in the collision, Ryan said.
