Dear 2UrbanGirls,
I am shocked and appalled that the Los Angeles County Fed voted to endorse Michelle Chambers and Reggie Jones-Sawyer for the upcoming election.
If you look at their record in office, they don’t deserve it.
Local SEIU 721 has first-hand knowledge of her walking off the job in Compton as their elected official two years into her term. Why would she be a better successor to Sen. Steve Bradford than Laura Richardson?
Reggie Jones-Sawyer hasn’t passed a single piece of legislation while serving in the state legislature that benefits employees to earn the endorsement over the incumbent.
Current Council District 10 Councilwoman Heather Hutt is doing more to preserve jobs with her efforts to stop cashless businesses than Jones-Sawyer has done in 12 years.
If this is being done to help Steve Bradford in his assumed run against Maxine Waters, The Fed should be concerned why he didn’t deliver on police reform by quietly pulling all his bills on the matter?
Why did we expect anything different from The Fed than when Ron Herrera was there? It’s the same old same – as long as the check clears the endorsement is yours.

Let me explain why this is happening. The people have become complacent. They have given away their power to the very government our founding fathers tried to save this country from. When nobody opposes that power it gets stronger. It will continue to step on its citizens, use them to get ahead and personal gain while shoving it’s people further and further into chaos and destruction taking away your liberties one by one while everyone sits on the sidelines grumbling but doing nothing. You want this. You asked for this. If you cared enough you would fight back. But you don’t. So grumble quietly to yourselves and when ur left out in the cold stripped of everything and demanded that you work for scraps just remember you didn’t do anything to stop it
