CYPRESS PARK – A family was shot while driving through the Cypress Park area of Los Angeles Sunday morning.
Los Angeles Police Department officers with the Northeast Division responded to a call around 3:00 a.m. about shots fired in the Cypress Park area.
Officers found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds at a gas station at Avenue 26 and Figueroa Street.
The male driver was found with a gunshot wound to the stomach and the female passenger suffered a graze wound to her head. They were both transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
Other family members were in the vehicle but did not suffer any injuries.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred nearby and the man drove to the gas station for assistance.
There is no suspect description at this time.
