LOS ANGELES – A 63-year-old woman was fatally struck by a speeding vehicle in South Los Angeles, which was later located in the city of Inglewood, authorities said Saturday.
The woman was crossing southbound Manchester Avenue at Cimarron Street in an unmarked crosswalk when she was struck at about 8 p.m. Friday by a speeding 2019 silver Kia Optima, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car continued westbound on Manchester and was later located in Inglewood, where it was taken into custody.
