COMPTON – A man who was fatally struck while crossing a street in the Compton area was identified by county authorities Thursday.
The Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner’s office identified Roderick Ingram as the crash victim. Ingram was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred at 7:28 p.m. Saturday at Rosecrans Avenue at Avalon Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Stephen Brandt.
The vehicle that hit Ingram left the scene and a description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
