DOWNEY – A man was shot and wounded and another man sustained a head injury after shots rung out inside a bar late Thursday night.
Downey Fire paramedics responded to The Glen Bar & Grill, located on the southwest corner of Stewart and Gray Road & Old River School Road, shortly after 11:30 PM in reference to a gun shot victim.
At least one male was located down inside the bar area by police with unknown gunshot wound(s).
The bar was open for business and crowded at the time of the shooting.
The gunshot victim was transported to a nearby trauma center in unknown condition.
A second male adult was also transported to a nearby hospital with an unknown head injury not sustained by gunfire.
A third male was detained in cuffs, however his involvement in the shooting remains unknown.
Downey Police continue their investigation at this time and are canvassing the area for further surveillance video and evidence.
