NEWPORT BEACH – A 55-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 46-year-old man in Newport Beach, police said Wednesday.
Randolph Aguirre and Desirre Aguirre were arrested around 5 p.m. Tuesday in Brea where they live, according to Newport Beach Police Department Sgt. Steve Oberon.
Officers responded to the intersection of 34th Street and Seashore Drive around 1:35 a.m. Saturday to a report about a man on the ground severely injured from a stab wound, Oberon said.
Robert A. Tamaccio, of Newport Beach, was taken to a hospital, where he later died due to injuries sustained from the stabbing, Oberon said.
It’s unclear what motivated the fatal stabbing or the relationship, if any, between the suspects.
