LANCASTER, Calif. – Two women were shot near a courthouse in Lancaster Tuesday morning.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired around 10:00 a.m. near the Michael D. Antonovich Superior Courthouse.
Two women were rushed to the Antelope Valley Hospital in an unknown condition.
The shooting reportedly stemmed from a verbal altercation between families assembled for a trial at the courthouse.
Deputies then pursued the shooting suspect to the intersection of Sierra Highway and Rancho Vista Boulevard where four individuals were taken into custody.
Deputies recovered an assault rifle from the vehicle.
