SANTA CLARITA (2UG) – A teen and his dog were killed after being hit by a Metrolink train Monday evening.
The collision was reported at about 6:52 p.m. at the southern end of the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Ruether Avenue.
A Metrolink train heading east between the Santa Clarita and Via Princessa stations hit the pedestrian who was believed to be walking his dog at the time.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau has been notified of the incident.
