HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Corvette that fled the scene and might have been racing a white sedan Sunday morning in Hollywood, authorities said.
The blue 2022-23 Corvette was speeding southbound on La Brea Avenue when it struck the pedestrian at about 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Arriving paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Corvette fled the scene. It was unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, but police said the Corvette was possibly racing a white sedan.
