LOS ANGELES (2UG) – A man is dead after being shot by police near downtown Los Angeles Wednesday night.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of a man with a knife around 8:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of S New Hampshire Ave.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect and an officer-involved shooting occurred.
The suspect was struck by gunfire and was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No officers or bystanders were injured during the incident.
