HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (2UG) – An officer-involved shooting took place early Saturday morning at a McDonald’s in Hollywood.
Los Angeles Police Department officers with the Hollywood Division were shot at by a suspect in a White Mercedes in the 1600 block of Ivar Ave near Hollywood Blvd.
According to the department’s public information officer, officers were flagged down by security for a nightclub due to an altercation on the street.
“As the officers drove towards the area of the altercation to investigate, a suspect driving a white sedan, described as a heavy-set male Caucasian in his 30’s, produced a handgun and began firing, at which point an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred.”

The suspect sped away from the scene with officers in pursuit of the vehicle. There was heavy police presence at a nearby McDonald’s where they setup a perimeter around a White Mercedes.
No officers were injured and the department didn’t disclose any details about the suspect(s).
