Access for All powered by Butterfli: Revolutionizing Inclusive Transportation in LA County

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking transportation initiative aimed at enhancing accessibility and on-demand mobility options for all residents. “Access for All powered byButterfli ” is a new program that leverages the innovative capabilities of Butterfli, a leading transportation and technology solutions, to provide expanded assisted transportation options for individuals with differently abled transportation needs throughout LA County.

“At Butterfli, our mission is to create a world where transportation is barrier-free, empowering individuals to live their lives to the fullest,” said Delilah Lanoix, Co-Founder and CEO at Butterfli. “Access for All powered by Butterfli embodies our commitment to breaking down transportation barriers and promoting inclusivity. We are excited to be the first transportation partner to be part of this transformative program.”

Metro and Butterfli have a shared goal of ensuring everyone can enjoy the benefits of reliable and convenient transportation. This innovative program focuses on utilizing wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAVs) to provide seamless, inclusive transportation experiences for users.

Buttefli has engaged community-based organizations (CBOs), like The Los Angeles Urban League, to partner with them to expand this new program’s reach.  Cynthia Mitchell Heard, Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at the Urban League, shared, “This new transportation collaboration is a vital resource especially for underserved communities. Butterfli continues to bring transportation innovation throughout Los Angeles and engage CBOs in the process.”

Butterfli, a pioneer in mobility solutions, is at the forefront of transforming the transportation landscape. As part of the Access for All initiative, Butterfli is committed to offering free rides to riders who require WAV transportation options. By utilizing its WAV fleet, Butterfli aims to bridge the gap by providing real-time, accessible transportation options and enhancing their riders experience by facilitating lifestyle-based rides for all members of the community.

“Access for All powered by Butterfli represents a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable transportation system,” said Hilary Norton, California Transportation Commissioner and Executive Director of FASTLinkDTLA. ”  This program ensures that people with disabilities and their companions will receive door-to-door service so all riders can navigate with ease and confidence no matter the type of ride they need.  Butterfli is making this vision a reality – it is essential to disability equity and safety.”

Booking a ride with Butterfli is both simple and convenient. Interested riders can visit https://www.gobutterfli.com/afa to download the app, learn more about the program and book their rides online. Alternatively, individuals can register by calling (855) 301-1624 to reserve their ride. The best part? This program is absolutely free, ensuring that on-demand transportation is accessible to all.

The launch of Access for All powered by Butterfli signifies a significant milestone in Metro’s ongoing commitment to enhancing transportation accessibility and mobility options for all residents. By partnering with Butterfli, Metro is taking a giant leap towards creating a more inclusive transportation network for everyone throughout LA County.
