LANCASTER, Calif. – A motorist in a sedan was killed in a two-vehicle crash with an SUV in Lancaster, authorities said Tuesday.
The crash occurred about 10:40 p.m. Monday in the area of Challenger Way and Avenue H-4, where the motorist in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Michael Politano of the Sheriff’s Lancaster station.
The motorist in the sedan was going northbound on Challenger Way where the car made an abrupt left turn and T-boned the SUV that was southbound on Challenger Way, Politano said.
The motorist in the sedan was not seat belted, he said.
The motorist inside the SUV was rushed to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both motorists were the lone occupants inside their vehicles.
It was not immediately known if speed, alcohol, or drugs were factors in the crash.
