LOS ANGELES – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and killed Friday on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in East Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 4:45 a.m. to the Ditman Avenue and Indiana Street exit near the southbound freeway where they found the victim, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP reported. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
The crash closed all lanes of the southbound freeway while the CHP conducted its investigation.
