Dear 2UrbanGirls,
I see you have updated us on the fundraising efforts around Los Angeles County with both local and state seats but have you noticed how quiet County Supervisor Janice Hahn’s campaign is?
Typically, you’re inbox would be inundated with emails about her endorsements and fundraising, as we see with Jennifer Williams (Senate District 35) and Sade Elhawary (Assembly District 57).
Janice has nothing to brag about. That’s why.
Sure, Jennifer and Sade are political newcomers, but they are gaining steam, by out-fundraising their opponents, with the hopes of gaining name recognition at the ballot box, meanwhile, seasoned politicians have long rested on their laurels in feeling like they don’t have to campaign for these seats.
It’s a new day.
Janice Hahn can’t save herself by trotting out the photo of her dad with Martin Luther King, Jr. She’s not her dad and never will be.
County Probation is a mess. Homelessness is up. Project Homekey units remain vacant. Renters are facing evictions and the Sheriff’s department…well… it’s being led by someone who doesn’t respect the office enough to be seen in the uniform.
All on her watch.
Is her political career coming to an end?
