LA VERNE, Calif. – Detectives Sunday were investigating a robbery at a Rodeo Jewelers in La Verne, where the criminals crashed a car into the store and at least four people shattered display cases, loaded up with several bags of jewelry and assaulted an employee.
At about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, a white four-door sedan drove through the glass storefront of Rodeo Jewelers at 1560 Foothill Blvd., the La Verne Police Department reported.
“Four male suspects entered the store, shattered display cases, and loaded several bags of jewelry,” Sgt. Martin Weinreb said. “One employee was assaulted during the robbery and sustained non-life threatening injuries.”
The suspects fled with the stolen jewelry to a secondary getaway vehicle described as a black sedan, Weinreb said.
No further information was immediately available.
