GARDENA, Calif. (2UG) – The family of Kirk Stamps is raising funds for his burial and funeral expenses after he was gunned down Sunday night in Gardena.
“We are here in need of your help to lay our beloved nephew, son, brother, grandson, uncle to Rest. Kirk was an awesome, genuine, selfless brave heart young man with so much love to give. Kirk’s life was taken from him due to gun violence on 7-23-23 he was only 18 years old. We appreciate everyone’s love, support and help in these difficult times ahead of us,” reads the fundraiser.
Stamps and two others were shot during a party held at a business in Gardena.
The shooting was reported at 2:08 a.m. in the 100 block of West 155th Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“Investigators learned there was a party going on at the business location, when a fight ensued between two males and gunshots were heard,” according to a sheriff’s department statement. “The investigation is ongoing and currently there is no additional information.”
