LA PUENTE, Calif. – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a school bus Monday in La Puente.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded at about 2:20 p.m. to Fairgrove Avenue and Hacienda Boulevard after receiving reports about a woman injured in a traffic collision, according to an LACFD spokesperson.
The woman died at the scene, according to the county fire department.
The circumstances of the crash remained under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, which handles traffic collisions involving school buses.
There was no further information immediately available. It was unclear if there were any students aboard the bus.
The woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
