HOLLYWOOD HILLS, Calif. – A man was shot and killed at a reported illegal gambling club in the Hollywood Hills Wednesday near Universal Studios, and the suspects were being sought.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at around 4 a.m. to the 3300 block of Cahuenga Boulevard west of the Hollywood (101) Freeway where they found the victim, according to LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes.
Fox 11 reported the fatally wounded man was a security guard at an illegal gambling club, and the suspects apparently had intended to commit a robbery at the location, which formerly housed a hookah lounge.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
