WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday evening on a Ventura (101) Freeway on-ramp in Woodland Hills.
California Highway Patrol officers responded at 10:09 p.m. to the northbound Valley Circle Boulevard on-ramp where they found the pedestrian lying near the on-ramp, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
KNBC reported the victim was a man. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Several lanes of the freeway where closed while the CHP conducted its investigation.
