LONG BEACH, Calif. – Two people have died in a building fire in Long Beach Thursday night.
A two-alarm building fire left two critically injured and one fatally wounded in Long Beach.
The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m., Thursday night, at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and E Esther St.
Upon arrival, Long Beach Fire Department forced entry into an abandoned auto garage that was turned into an apparent transient encampment.
Two victims were located in full cardiac arrest and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
A third victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
Arson investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
