PALMDALE, Calif. – The coroner’s office Saturday released the name of a pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run collision in the Antelope Valley.
He was 31-year-old Jose Marco Gonzalez-Olivares.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 11:19 p.m. Thursday to 20th Street and West Avenue N in Palmdale, where they found the man in the roadway, according to a CHP spokesperson.
Witnesses said the vehicle, a gray Honda Civic with a missing front bumper, drove away from the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
Gonzalez-Olivares was pronounced dead at the scene, Kimball said.
