LOS ANGELES – A woman on a Koreatown street was struck and killed by a car before sunrise Tuesday and the driver fled.
A 2005 silver Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on First Street near Westmoreland Avenue around 5:15 a.m. when it struck the woman who was in the street and the driver fled, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the pedestrian to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Her next of kin has been notified.

A reward of up to $50,000 is available to anyone providing information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of a hit-and-run driver.
