WEST HILLS, Calif. – A shooting has been reported at a Los Angeles area Trader Joe’s Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to Trader Joe’s located in the 22800 block of Vanowen Street in West Hills around 3:45 p.m., according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer J. Chaves.
Four people were shot in total, according to the LAFD. One victim, identified as a 45-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other three victims — reportedly two 35-year-old women and one 45-year-old man — were transported to local hospitals in serious condition.

The suspect “may be known to the victims,” Chaves said. It was unclear if the shooting was gang-related.
Los Angeles police officers are said to have two suspects in custody who fled the area in a red Honda.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
