LOS ANGELES – A man was shot to death Saturday in the unincorporated Willowbrook area of south Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported at noon in the 11700 block of Holmes Avenue, just south of the Century (105) Freeway and just west of Wilmington Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The mortally wounded man was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, sheriff’s officials said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were dispatched to conduct a crime scene investigation, officials said.
