AZUSA, Calif. – A domestic dispute in Azusa led to the stabbing death of a male victim and the arrest of a 67-year-old man, authorities said Monday.
Officers were called at about 8:45 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 200 block of South San Gabriel Avenue regarding a dispute between family members, according to an Azusa Police Department statement.
One male was stabbed and another victim was struck with a baseball bat, police said.
Paramedics took the stabbing victim to a hospital, where he died, police said. His age and identity were not released. The other victim did not have life-threatening injuries.
Jeffrey Nestler was arrested for suspicion of murder and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Nestler was held without bail at the Azusa police jail, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
