In the infinite “wisdom” of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors employees in the Probation Department remain under siege as juveniles in our custody count down the days until pepper spray is fully removed from juvenile lockup facilities.
In the meantime, it hasn’t stopped our staff from being assaulted.
A supervisor in the Sylmar facility was stabbed FOUR times by a 17-year-old in our custody yesterday.
WHEN will the board of supervisors listen to the employees and provide safety measures that benefit ALL of us?
We saw that you tagged County Supervisor Chris Holden on what his thoughts are on the issues within LA County and how he intends to be better than what we have now. Has he responded? We hear his dad is busy making calls seeking campaign donations for him.
Supervisor Kathryn Barger is silent too.
