Inglewood Councilman Eloy Morales Jr. continues to flout annual income reporting guidelines for the last four years.
Morales’ 2022 form 700 was released under a California Public Records Act request which details he continues to not report outside income received from consulting with an outside agency with strong ties to projects in Inglewood.

Elected officials are required to report annual statements of economic interests in accordance with guidelines established by the Fair Political Practices Commission.
In 2019, both 2UrbanGirls and the Daily Breeze reported on the extraordinary amounts of outside income Morales received from the city’s trash hauler and as a consultant with Lee Andrews Group.
Once it came to light, Morales stopped reporting the income.
Calls were made to Lee Andrews Group on April 4 about Morales’ employment status with the firm considering his photo is listed on their website as a Senior Strategic Advisor.
“Yes, Eloy Morales still works here but not from the office,” said “Scott” who answered the call.

Lee Andrews Group is a national communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations.
Their clients include BYD (a member of the Inglewood Airport Area Chamber of Commerce who are seeking a contract on the Inglewood Transit Connector project), Walsh-Shea Corridors (who built the Metro K-Line), West Basin (the city’s water provider), Metro (where Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. is a member of its board of director’s) and the LAX Airport.

On previous forms, Morales reported receiving in excess of $100,000 from the firm despite receiving an annual salary from Inglewood taxpayers in excess of $60,000 for “full-time” work.
Former Los Angeles Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas was recently convicted on seven counts of public corruption for leveraging his elected office for personal gain. Are Inglewood elected officials next?
Morales is up for re-election in 2024.

Let’s think about it this is the man who admires Jose Fernandez, considers him a mentor.
This is the man who sits every week next to James Butts and does not flinch when he hears James Butts tell the public that the city council meetings are copyright protected, or that the Stadium is completely privately funded.
He sat and voted for each raise given to Melanie McDade based on her skill set then sat by when the Mayor said their relationship was not personal but professional only to find out his response to the restraining order request had the spouse box checked!
Somehow doesn’t it seem that half -truths and not close to truths are happy face comments we are supposed to believe?
Gosh oh golly who doesn’t wonder how the spouses of these not always truthful feel?
The dude must have a fifth job posing as a pregnant man at parades . Tax him.
