IRVINE, Calif. – A 33-year-old man riding a scooter was struck and killed by a van in Irvine.
Karl Ian Vito Zamoranos of Carson was struck by the Toyota Sienna about 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Michelson Drive and MacArthur Boulevard, police said.
The van’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, who determined the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said.
