Community members, alumni, current students, prospective students, and families are invited to spend a day at Compton College for “Community Day” on Saturday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free, fun-filled, and informational event will include a car show, food trucks, puppet show, blood drive, health fair, free manicures and facials provided by the college’s Cosmetology program, opportunity drawings to win prizes, and a Compton Tartars baseball game.
In addition, the college will host Grand Opening Ceremonies for its newly constructed Student Services Building and Instructional Building 1, complete with tours of the new facilities and a Library Naming Ceremony in honor of long-time Compton Community College District (CCCD) Board of Trustee member, the late Emily B. Hart-Holifield of Compton, Calif.
For those interested in enrolling at Compton College, there will be a student services resource fair, financial aid information, enrollment application assistance for summer and fall 2023, and campus tours.

11:15 a.m. Holifield Library Naming Ceremony (Library-Student Success Center lobby)

This event is open to the public, so we hope to see many community members on campus on April 22! This is a great opportunity to learn more about Compton College and tour the new facilities. Community Day is intended to bring people together from our surrounding communities for a FREE day of entertainment and camaraderie.
