LOS ANGELES – Coroner’s officials Sunday released the name of a 40-year-old man who was shot and killed after he was confronted by two people in South Los Angeles.
The victim was identified as Taurean Davis, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. A spokesperson could not be reached to determine Davis’ city of residence.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Division responded at approximately 9 p.m. Friday to Main Street and Century Boulevard, where they learned Davis was approached by the suspects, who both opened fire on him and then ran away from the scene, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
Davis then got into a vehicle, where police and paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department found him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
