INGLEWOOD – A person died in Inglewood Friday evening, west of the San Diego (405) Freeway.
This is the second person found dead area in the last two weeks.
Friday’s death was reported at 9:44 p.m. near La Cienega and Century boulevards, according to the CHP.
Another body was found the evening of April 10 in the same area under the 405 freeway underpass on Century Blvd adjacent to La Cienega.

Multiple homeless encampments are in the immediate area with the largest being around the corner behind a gas station and self-storage facility.

Inglewood officials continue to reject responsibility for the homeless in the area with Mayor James T. Butts Jr consistently saying “our homeless problem isn’t as bad as the city of Los Angeles or LA County”.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
The persons identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Inglewood Police Department Homicide section at (310) 412-5246.
