LOS ANGELES – A woman was fatally injured Friday in a hit-and-run in Highland Park, and an investigation was underway.
Paramedics sent to the 5600 block of Aldama Street about 8:50 a.m. pronounced the woman dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Information on her identity was not immediately available.
Authorities went to the location on a report that the woman was lying near the side of the roadway, according to the LAFD.
The Los Angeles Police Department was investigating the death as a hit- and-run involving a pedestrian, police said. No information was released regarding a suspect or vehicle.
