SANTA ANA, Calif. – A 40-year-old man was charged Wednesday with shooting a man outside a nightclub in Anaheim.
Jorge Galvan Centeno was charged with attempted murder and discharge of a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, both felonies, and faces sentencing enhancements for discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury or death, personal use of a firearm and inflicting great bodily injury to the victim.
Centeno did not enter a plea Wednesday at his arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. His arraignment was rescheduled for April 5 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
Centeno, who listed his occupation as store owner, is being held without bail, according to jail records.
Centeno is accused of shooting the man about 4:10 a.m. Sunday outside a nightclub in the 500 block of South Brookhurst Street, near Orange Avenue, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Jon McClintock.
The victim was rushed to a hospital in grave condition but is expected to survive, McClintock said.
Centeno was arrested Monday when police served a search warrant at a residence in Diamond Bar.
