IRVINE, Calif. – A motorist was killed Saturday during a single-vehicle crash on State Route 133 in Irvine, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 9:10 a.m. on the northbound route at Interstate 5, the California Highway Patrol reported. The accident possibly involved a motorist driving a Mercedes-Benz sedan, according to a CHP dispatcher.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries, the dispatcher said.
